Hey All,
Here is another short story I’ve been working on. I know that this is supposed to be my personal blog, but I will probably be posting my fictional stories on here as well. This is a story meant for a children’s picture book.
Molly wanted a tappity tap pad.
Here is another short story I’ve been working on. I know that this is supposed to be my personal blog, but I will probably be posting my fictional stories on here as well. This is a story meant for a children’s picture book.
Molly wanted a tappity tap pad.
Everyone had one.
Her sister clicked kissy faces to her boyfriend on one. Blech.
Her Mom swished dinner recipes on one. Meatloaf? Yuck.
Her friend, Gemma snapped cool photos on one. Whoa!
Her Pop Pop even clickety clicked on one to play bingo. BINGOOO!
Everyone had a tappity tap pad. Except Molly.
So Molly made a pink lemonade stand because that’s what you do when you’re a kid.
She planted a big smile on her face and waited for a customer.
Her neighbor Mr. Key walked by.
He would buy one! She thought excitedly.
But Mr. Key was too busy looking at his tappity tap pad to notice her.
Gemma stopped by, but all she wanted to do was take a picture of the sign with her tappity tap pad before skipping away.
Pop pop came up to her. He would definitely help her out.
But he just asked how to turn his tappity tap pad screen on before walking away.
Molly was annoyed.
Everyone is too busy on their tappity tap pad to even look at me! She thought with a frown on her face. If I bought a tappity tap pad, would I be like that too? She wondered.
Molly stayed outside selling pink lemonade all day until her jar was full of money. Enough for a tappity tap pad! She was so excited.
After she packed up the pink lemonade stand, Molly went inside to her family.
They were all sitting around the kitchen table on their tappity tap pads, and not looking at each other.
Molly held the jar in her hands and looked at her family.
She realized that she doesn’t want a tappity tap pad.
Instead, Molly took her lemonade money so her family could go out for ice cream.
There was only one rule: no tappity tap pads allowed.
Her sister, Mom, and Pop Pop walked to the shop. Even Gemma came along!
They spent the evening laughing and licking their ice cream cones.
This was all she needed.
