Ch-ch-changes

A lot can change in a year is an understatement, especially when I look at my last year and everything that happened.

So what have I been doing since the end of 2021 and almost the entirety of 2022? Imagine a TLDR (too long didn’t read) version, but blog style since this platform is still for reading.

Maine

If you hadn’t guessed by the rest of this list, we left Maine! I know that my last post pinned me in Iceland, but I also took another trip to Spain and Italy later in the summer before heading home to upstate New York to take care of my mom. (Basically, I was all over the place, and still am mentally!) After an emotionally charged time getting her back on her feet post mastectomy, I returned to Maine just in time to pack for Hawaii. Oh, and to get engaged!

Hawaii

I moved across the country with our cat Avy in tow, all the way to Hawaii. Despite the rough journey there, ie. Avy escaping on the plane, and arrival, ie. house full of roaches, we managed to settle into our new home. And don’t worry, it was not full of roaches.

Hawaii went by in a flash. From endless trips to the beach and shrimp trucks to hiking around Oahu and exploring three other islands, we made the most of our time. Until we moved again…

Missouri

Oh, did you think we’d be settled after Hawaii? HA! The fate of our next move was in the hands of the admissions department at multiple business schools. Jack so lovingly picked programs on both the East and West coast, so it was a complete mystery where we’d be living until summertime.

But guess where we landed?

California

True to the song we were going, going, back, back to Cali, Cali. Well, we’re actually here now. It’s officially my two week anniversary of living in Los Angeles! It’s also our month and almost a half wedding anniversary because oh ya, I also got married. Like I said, A LOT CAN CHANGE IN A YEAR!

Now that you’re semi caught up on my chaotic life, I can go back and share some trips, life changes, and all the juicy gossip you’ve been dying to hear for the last year. Just kidding, no one reads this.
